Hanging decorations of woven palm-leaf stars and bamboo-like fronds strung with orange, yellow and red flower rosettes, dangling from a rope against a misty, wooded hillside. Below, a row of colourful striped cloth canopies and stage lighting rigs stand in front of a red-roofed shrine with a small sign. Strings of small paper lanterns or lamps stretch across the sky. No people are visible.2010-01-08December 31 20092009-12-31December 31 20092009-12-31July 16 20062006-07-16 +1 copiesJanuary 08 20102010-01-08January 12 20092009-01-12January 06 20132013-01-06Outdoor event at the foot of a forested hillside, with a covered stage draped in white and orange cloth at centre. Several figures in white stand and sit on the stage and in front of it, while a crowd in white clothes gathers below. Strings of multicoloured bunting and decorated umbrellas or canopies frame the open ground, and a loudspeaker and lighting rig stand on the left under a hazy green sky. The scene suggests an open-air ceremony or gathering, with the banners and canopies giving it a festive look.2008-04-19A dirt pathway lined with young banana plants, their trunks wrapped with strips of pale yellow-green leaves and clusters of red and orange flowers tied on as decoration. In the distance, several people in white clothing walk along the path, and a partially visible figure in white stands near the right-hand plants.2009-12-31A close, slightly blurred photograph of many long, pale green palm or coconut leaf strips laid across a light grey tiled floor. The narrow leaflets are arranged in overlapping rows and are bound to thin pale sticks, forming a woven mat or decorative frond arrangement, possibly for a temple decoration or festival preparation. No people are visible.2009-06-09Thatched roofed structures with tiered palm-leaf or straw roofing rise against a pale evening sky, topped by copper finials and several red and saffron pennant flags on poles. A strip of multicoloured triangular bunting in red, yellow, green, blue and purple hangs along the eaves, and lights illuminate the scene at dusk. Green leaves of a tree frame the left side, and a blue signboard with Tamil lettering is partly visible at the lower left. No people are visible in the frame.2008-04-192008 - Glimpses Of Gurukul
