August 25 20172017-08-25A night procession moves past a large gilded palanquin-style float (ratha) lit with strings of white lights and carved golden pillars, with a seated figure visible under its canopy. Devotees in red and orange garments walk along both sides, many carrying tall red and orange flags and dark blue and red decorated umbrellas. In the foreground a dark chariot-like cart glows with lamps and marigold garlands, and a standing man in a light shirt holds a long-handled item near it. Crowds of onlookers line the lower edge of the frame. The scene is lit mainly by the float lights and floodlights against a dark sky.2017-08-25August 25 20172017-08-25October 11 20162016-10-11August 25 20172017-08-25August 25 20172017-08-25Night photograph of a procession at an ashram gate lit by a bright floodlight.
