Beside him, a white marble arched shrine frames a black-faced deity murti draped in white and gold cloth, with a garland of red flowers. In front, a red-stained rock mound with a white-and-gold cloth wrapping and garlands serves as an open-air shrine, bordered by a dark patterned stone rim. Dry ground, bare trunks and sunlight through foliage fill the background.2006-12-09A photograph of an outdoor ritual beneath large trees. A man seated on a mat wears an orange turban, bare-chested with an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulder and an orange dhoti, and is tending a garland of white and yellow flowers. Behind him, a second person in white clothing is partly visible. In front of the seated man, brass vessels, a kalasha-like pot, a brass lamp stand and a flower-filled plate sit on a red and gold mat, and a small flame burns in a brass dish. Behind them stands a black stone deity murti draped in red cloth and garlanded, set on a rough rock platform beneath a gold-framed arch with a coloured canopy overhead. A white and black snake-shaped sculpture encircles the platform, with its head at the front. The page excerpt names Adi KAILASA, Bengaluru, but the photo itself carries no legible text beyond a handwritten date mark on the mat.June 02 20042004-06-02June 02 20042004-06-02June 02 20042004-06-02November 20 20062006-11-20
