A gilded metal murti of a deity figure stands in a flower-decorated alcove, dressed in a maroon garment with an orange shawl and heavy jewelled necklaces set with white and coloured stones. The figure wears an orange turban topped by an ornate jewelled crown, raises one hand in blessing and holds a ritual implement in the other, with a kumkum mark on the forehead. Garlands of yellow marigolds, purple flowers, red petals and white jasmine frame the figure, with a gilded arch behind. This is a statue or murti, not a living person.2011-12-15A large bronze-coloured standing figure in a rust-orange turban and dhoti is adorned with a jewelled silver-and-gem necklace, large ornate earrings and a sparkling breastplate. The figure, which has a tilak and a raised right hand, is garlanded with red roses, yellow marigolds, white flowers and green leaves. It stands on a round base inside a velvet-backed niche studded with mirror-work and rhinestone rosettes. Behind it, golden deity figures and a spear-like staff are visible. The figure is a statue, not a living person, so the scene contains no physical people.2024-07-21June 03 20152015-06-03 +1 copiesPhoto 11717626 +2 copiesJanuary 15 20132013-01-15 +3 copiesDecember 03 20142014-12-03Photo 11738566December 20 20112011-12-20December 03 20142014-12-03December 28 20082008-12-28 +1 copiesDecember 23 20182018-12-23January 12 20092009-01-12
