December 05 20112011-12-05 +1 copiesA long-haired man in an orange saffron garment with a maroon border stands at the centre, extending his right hand to touch the head of a devotee bowed in front of him. He wears a rudraksha mala, a gold pendant on a red cord, ornate gold necklaces and a gold armlet. Around him, several men in white shirts and dhotis stand with hands joined in anjali or bowed in devotion, and a man in white holds a silver tray near the right edge. Colourful striped and yellow-orange hangings decorate the hall, and a projection screen is visible at the top. Swamiji (probable) is shown in the centre, identified by long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold ornaments, giving blessings to the devotee.2011-02-11Indoor photo of a long-haired man in a red and orange dhoti-style wrap, gold chain necklaces, multiple beaded bangles and a red bindi, bare-chested, lowering his right palm onto the head of a devotee who bows with hands pressed together. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back hair, ornate gold necklaces and a saffron-red wrap, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji at this event. Around him, a bespectacled saffron-robed sannyasi with tripundra marks and a white-clad elderly man with folded hands watch, while other devotees stand in the background of a hall with ceiling lights and a projection screen.2011-12-05November 09 20112011-11-09November 02 20112011-11-02A photograph of a blessing scene indoors. A long-haired figure with curly dark hair wears an orange-saffron garment over a red-pink top, with multiple gold-toned and beaded necklaces and bangles. This person's right hand is raised, palm placed on the forehead of a kneeling young man in a checked shirt who presses his hands together in anjali. Nearby, a man in a dark navy shirt stands with hands folded in namaste, and a shaved-headed man in an orange garment with a rudraksha mala and white tilak stands at right. Background shows a projected screen, floral decorations and a deity murti. Probable identity cues: long swept hair, saffron-orange clothing and ornate beaded necklaces; the figure gives a blessing, so the candidate appears in person with that role.2011-12-05January 23 20112011-01-23 +1 copiesIndoor satsang or darshan scene. A man with long dark hair wearing an orange sleeveless top and rudraksha mala beads places his right hand on the head of a kneeling man in a yellow and white plaid shirt, whose palms are pressed together in namaste. The orange-clad man has long swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala, which are cues for a probable Swamiji; his appearance matches the page's claim, so this is marked as probable and in person. Behind them, a shaved-headed young sannyasi in orange robes with a red sash and bead mala stands, and another orange-robed attendant stands at upper centre. A man in a red shirt and several other onlookers stand or sit at the edges, with a white cloth-covered tray or offering near the blessing. A dark curtain and a fan appear in the background.2008-03-23April 02 20112011-04-02November 29 20112011-11-29 +1 copiesA photograph of a long-haired man in a purple and red silk garment with a gold-bordered shawl, bare-chested and wearing layered gold beaded necklaces, bangles and armlets, with a red bindi on his forehead. He smiles and places both palms on the head of a bald, bespectacled devotee in a white shirt who bows with hands folded. Beside him a shaved-headed attendant in an orange robe with a tilak and glasses looks on. Other men in white and striped shirts stand around in a warmly lit hall, and a camera operator is visible at left. The cues on the central figure (long swept hair, layered malas and gold ornaments, the purple-red garment) are distinctive, so this is a person in person giving blessing.2011-10-30December 05 20112011-12-05 +1 copies
