A red apple and silver bowls sit at the edge of the tray. The second man's face is cropped out of frame, so no portrait is visible.2011-11-15Close-up photo of a ritual offering on a gilded golden pedestal. A figure in orange-saffron robes with a gold-edged hem extends a hand holding a small golden cup, while another person in white clothing reaches in from the right to receive it. A silver-tone tray holds flower petals and fresh flowers, with a pink blossom placed on the pedestal. The background is gold ornamental metalwork. Arms and wrists are visible; a bangle is on one wrist. Only hands and partial arms are visible, so the figures' identities cannot be determined from this view.2009-08-18Close view of a seated figure's bare feet in a silver plate during a padapuja foot-worship ritual. The feet rest on a gold-embossed dais, with pink flower petals and green leaves scattered over them and around the silver tray. A pair of small golden lamps sit on the plate beside the feet. The figure wears orange-saffron robes that drape over the knees. On the left, a person in white clothing with a bangled wrist and a silver bracelet reaches in to touch or offer near the feet. A silver elephant-handled edge of the tray is visible at right.2009-08-15Close view of bare feet resting on an ornate gold-coloured throne or peetha with embossed floral and leaf relief. The person wears an orange garment with a red and gold border. Red and pink flowers and a small gold kalasha-like cup lie on the seat beside the feet. Behind, a person in white clothing holds a small silver bowl in both hands, wearing a rudraksha mala. A silver tray with offerings and an apple-like red fruit sit at the back. This appears to be a padapuja-style foot-worship ritual.2011-11-15A photograph of a padapuja ritual. A man in a white kurta with a dark cord around his neck washes the bare feet of a seated person, whose toes rest on a bed of flower petals in red, orange and pink.
