Several women in yellow, white and red saris sit with palms pressed together in namaskar, with brass plates of offerings, flowers and a small lamp arranged before them. A man in white kurta sits among them, and a monk in saffron with a gold necklace sits in the background. Red fruits and a microphone rest on a gold side table, with maroon and navy drapes behind. Swamiji (probable) is seated on the throne, identified by the saffron robes, rudraksha mala, gold necklace and long swept-back hair, with the role of teacher leading the group.2011-01-22A photograph of a ritual worship ceremony in a temple-like hall with orange and red walls and white-and-red striped pillars. A man with long swept-back hair, an orange robe and a rudraksha mala sits on a gold-and-red throne, eyes closed, hands resting in his lap, with a figure at his side. Before the throne, shaven-headed men in white clothes with yellow shawls tend gold and silver plates of flowers, fruit and lamps. Seated devotees in white and yellow, some in orange, with folded hands, fill the floor behind. A Swamiji (probable) label applies to the throne-seated man given his long hair, orange robe and rudraksha mala cues, while the shaven-headed priests and devotees are ordinary participants in a padapuja-style worship.2010-08-10 +1 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes and a dark rudraksha mala sits with hands folded in a gilded red-cushioned throne in front of a golden shrine decorated with garlands.
