Outdoor photo of a ceremony on bare earth at dusk. A man in an orange turban and orange robe, with a long white-and-pink-and-blue flower garland and a gold necklace, stands at centre holding a steel plate of white and yellow flower petals and sprinkling them. In front of him a brass trident stands upright in a heap of petals, halved coconuts and scattered yellow flowers. Behind him a crowd of men in white dhotis and shirts stands, several wearing yellow rosette badges and lanyards; one man at right kneels with palms pressed together. Striped tents are visible at the top of the frame.2007-08-17September 24 20062006-09-24September 09 20102010-09-09July 14 20102010-07-14December 23 20092009-12-23November 04 20022002-11-04 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of a ceremony on bare dry ground. A central figure in an orange-saffron turban and orange robe, wearing a white-and-multicolour flower garland and a heavy gold necklace, holds a metal staff and a yellow coconut-like object while lowering it toward the ground. Two men in white shirts and white dhotis bend forward at either side, one touching the staff and one placing a coconut. Several coconut halves with white flesh and yellow husks lie on the ground. Behind them, a crowd of men in white shirts, some wearing yellow and red rosette badges and lanyards, watches under striped tent awnings. A small girl in white with a rosette stands at left. Appearance-based cues are a turban, saffron robe and gold necklace on the central figure, so a person may be present, with uncertainty.2007-08-17July 03 20102010-07-03 +1 copiesNovember 04 20022002-11-04 +1 copiesJanuary 12 20072007-01-12November 04 20022002-11-04 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20062006-09-24
