Two golden lion-shaped armrests flank him, with red and black tiger-striped cushions. He wears a long ceremonial gold bead necklace, gold armlets and bangles, and has a white vertical tilak with a red dot on his forehead. His hands are clasped in his lap and he smiles as he speaks. Behind him are pink and orange lotus-patterned pillars, a brass oil lamp, and a green leaf. The sitter appears to be a person, identified by saffron robes, a gold bead necklace and a throne setting, while the throne and white forehead marks alone are not decisive.2014-08-29January 23 20162016-01-23
