A dusty open ground at dusk in a rural construction site. A long, unfinished single-storey building of grey concrete blocks with window and door openings runs across the background, with a corrugated metal sheet roof along part of it and bamboo scaffolding poles leaning against the wall. Several people walk across the bare earth in the foreground: a woman in a dark sari with a light shawl, a person in white clothing carrying a bundle, a woman in a teal sari, and a few children, one in a checked shirt. Tall trees and a faint hill line sit at the edges under a pale evening sky with overhead power lines.

A photograph of an unfinished construction site at a rural compound. Long single-storey buildings of grey cinder block stand under a pale overcast sky, with some window openings and rough bamboo poles propped against the walls. A dirt yard lies in the foreground with a mound of sand and scattered patches of grass. Several figures in dark and light clothing stand near the doorways at the centre of the building row, and piled corrugated sheets and debris lie at the right edge. A tree and a distant rocky hill frame the background.

A photograph of a group of devotees walking single file along a dusty dirt track at early morning, with a concrete block wall and stacked cinder blocks behind them and haze over the fields. Many wear white, teal, pink, orange and purple saris, salwar kameez and dhotis with shawls, and several women cover their heads with white and pastel scarves. A few carry small bags. Some young boys in white and grey walk among them. The scene looks like a procession leaving a site, and no a person figure is visible.

A photograph of a group of devotees walking in a procession along an unpaved dirt path past unfinished concrete-block buildings and a gravel heap. Men in white or checked shirts and trousers lead, followed by women in saris and salwar kameez in pink, green, blue, red and white, many with heads covered by dupattas or shawls. A young woman in a white dress carries a cardboard box, and a few children walk among them. A woman in a blue sari stands on a rise at the upper right, and an unpaved path curves through the scene at sunrise.

A photograph of a dusty red-earth construction site under an overcast sky. A woman in a white sari with a blue border walks across the bare ground, holding something in her hands, past a puddle of water. Behind her are rows of unfinished grey concrete-block walls, a small open-sided shed with a red corrugated roof, and a black overhead water tank. Scattered rubble, gravel and building materials lie around, with a few trees and utility poles in the background. A second white-clad figure stands far to the right near the wall line.

A dusky outdoor photo of a village roadside in Kuttiyankuppam at dusk. A group of villagers, mostly women in saris and salwar kameez, stands and walks along a dirt road, gathered near a white van parked in front of an unfinished two-storey concrete building. Palm trees and a thatched hut sit behind them, with dry grass and scattered debris in the foreground. Several people stand with plastic bags and containers. No a person candidate is visible.

A line of about thirty people walks along an unpaved dirt road at dawn past unfinished concrete-block buildings with exposed roof trusses and a pile of gravel. Most women wear colourful saris and salwar-style outfits in pink, yellow, green, blue and orange, some with head coverings; several men in white shirts and dhotis walk among them. Palm trees and a utility pole stand in the hazy background, and a large sheet of white material leans against one wall.

A photograph of a dusty construction site under a clear blue sky, with a procession of devotees walking along a dirt track. Most walkers wear white traditional clothing, including white dhotis and white saris, with a few women in colourful saris of teal, pink and yellow. A small child in a light blue shirt walks in the foreground, and a yellow truck is parked at right beside unfinished concrete block buildings and a low white building with a water tank. Palm and other trees line the background. The walkers appear to number roughly two dozen, with the group spread across the path. No identifiable a person figure is visible in the frame.

A wide photograph of a dry, dusty open field with patches of sparse grass. In the foreground a young boy in a white kurta walks away from the camera. Further back, a woman in a pale blue and white sari walks near a long low white building with a red-trimmed roof and a small child in orange. A row of trees, a water tank on a stand, and a paved road lined with small markers stretch toward the back under a hazy grey sky.

Outdoor photo of a dusty open ground at an ashram-like site under a grey, overcast sky. Many children and teenagers stand and walk about in small groups: boys in shirts and trousers, girls in salwar kameez and saris, some in white and yellow clothing. A thatched-roof hut with white walls sits in the background beside concrete pipes, a tree and palms. A small gravel patch lies in the middle of the ground. No identifiable a person figure is visible, so no candidate is claimed.

A photograph of a large dirt field at a rural ashram site under a pale overcast sky, with trees and a low tiled-roof building behind. Dozens of children and some adults stand in loose rows across the ground, many in white, yellow, red and striped shirts and skirts, some with heads tilted upward or bowed. A woman in a red sari stands at the left. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible in the frame. The scene appears to be a group gathering or outdoor exercise period.
