Most wear white kurta-style clothing with orange-red shawls draped over their shoulders, and several have white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. Many sit with palms pressed together in namaskar or hands raised in prayer, while others chant or meditate with eyes closed. Among them, a bald man in white with a red shawl and forehead marking sits near the centre, and a man with curly dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits to the right. No single figure stands out as a clear, distinctively adorned teacher, so no candidate is identified. Several people wear red-orange saffron-toned shawls, and a few carry backpacks on the floor at left.2014-12-16A large indoor gathering of devotees seated on the floor in a hall, most wearing white dhotis with gold-yellow borders and rudraksha malas around their necks, many with bare upper bodies. Many are clapping with palms together, some smiling, and several are seated on mats with a glimpse of a red or orange-robed figure among them. The scene suggests a satsang-style assembly; the crowd is dense, filling the frame from front to back.2017-05-27 +1 copiesA large seated congregation fills a hall at a Kumbh Mela camp, many people in white dhotis and shirts with red-and-white saffron-striped shawls draped over their shoulders. Several men press palms together in namaste or hold hands folded in prayer, and a few wear wooden rudraksha malas. In the foreground a man in an orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala and white necklace sits facing forward. Floor mats in red, green and striped patterns cover the ground, and ornate gold deity shrines and decorations appear in the background. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance alone.2015-09-15 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20172017-09-24 +2 copiesAugust 08 20172017-08-08A large indoor congregation of devotees seated on orange cloth mats during a ritual gathering. In the foreground, a bald man with glasses wears a rudraksha mala and white robes, and a bearded man in orange with a mala and folded hands sits at the right edge. Many men wear white dhotis and shawls, some with white sacred ash marks on their foreheads and shoulders, and a few wear red or orange shawls. Several women in saffron and pink saris sit among them, and a woman in the background raises her arm. Brass or gold-coloured ceremonial lamps stand at the left, and people in the back row stand and sway. Some participants press their palms together in prayer.2018-11-22A large seated congregation fills a pale pink hall with framed pictures on the walls and a projection screen at the far left. Most attendees wear white dhotis with gold borders and many wear orange or saffron shawls, with rudraksha malas around their necks. Several men sit cross-legged in the foreground, one in a red-brown shawl with palms pressed together, another in a white dhoti with folded hands, and a bald man in white at the front left raising his hands in prayer. Plastic water bottles, bags and a tripod are scattered among them. The seated crowd is numerous, with many more people stretching back toward the rear of the hall.2017-07-09July 09 20172017-07-09
