Night outdoor event photographed from behind a long line of men and some women standing shoulder to shoulder behind a rope or pole barrier, facing toward the stage area on the left. Many are in white shirts and dhotis, one man wears a green polo shirt, and a woman in a red and pink sari stands in the line. Rows of red, white and blue plastic chairs fill the left foreground, and bright floodlights on poles light the scene against a dark sky. Strings of small lights and pink flowering shrubs decorate the background, with a black stone panel behind the crowd. Several onlookers stand near the right edge in white clothing.
