A standing man in an orange saffron shawl, with a garland of beads around his neck, holds a bell in one hand and a lit oil lamp flame in the other, while an orange-clad attendant on the left extends a hand toward the flame. Behind them, a golden deity murti of a seated couple is adorned with yellow and red marigold garlands, and a golden arch frames the shrine. Brass lamp stands flank the altar, a white marble seated figure and a draped orange cloth lie in front, and red curtains hang at the right. The scene suggests an evening puja with aarti, with lamps and garlands arranged around the deities.2010-01-02 +1 copiesSeptember 06 20142014-09-06Photograph inside a temple shrine at night. A standing priest in an orange robe and orange shawl holds a flaming lamp toward a gilded deity murti of a seated couple, one with a red turban and crown, the other wearing a crown and gold armour. Garlands of yellow marigolds and red flowers frame the murti. Below, a white marble seated figure with raised hand and a portrait in orange cloth sit on a draped table. Brass lamps stand on both sides. A flame lit by the priest, and marigold petals lie on the floor. Possibly a puja or aarti.2010-01-02 +1 copies
