April 2008 - Kailaasa In LA EventsA photograph of a darshan line inside a bright hall with pink walls and hanging orange and multicolour tassels. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe, rudraksha malas and a gold necklace, places his hand on the head of an older woman with grey hair and glasses who wears a green sari and has her palms pressed together. Beside him, a shaved-headed monk in orange robes and gold chain holds a silver tray with offerings. Devotees in saris and salwars stand with folded hands, and a small boy and girl in white clothes reach forward. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man in orange with malas and a gold necklace is distinguished by these cues, and is shown giving blessing as the presiding figure of the darshan.2011-02-26March 26 20082008-03-26March 26 20082008-03-26A photograph of a darshan line inside a hall with a white ceremonial chair and red curtain. Around them a crowd of devotees, many in white and cream clothing, stands close; a man in a white shirt and a younger man in white with an orange shawl stand behind. Several children stand around, including a boy in a blue shirt in the foreground and a girl in a red top behind. Green palm trees and foliage are visible in the background, and a man in a red and black striped polo stands at the right edge. The setting appears to be an open verandah, consistent with an annadan food distribution to children.2008-07-17 +1 copiesA seated figure in an orange sleeveless top and orange cloth, with long dark swept-back hair, offers a sweet or prasad to a small child at the centre of a crowd at a darshan in a hall with a red curtain. Behind the seated figure stands a young person in white with an orange shawl, and an older bald man in orange also stands nearby. A tray of rudraksha malas and small items sits at the edge of the foreground, beside a white chair draped in fabric. Devotees in white, cream and saffron saris and shirts line the left and foreground, some holding plates and trays, and a woman in a cream sari with an orange border looks on.
