Several priests in white dhotis and bare upper bodies attend it: one stands at left pouring from a brass vessel, and another kneels at right in an orange garment. Brass pots and vessels sit on the stage floor. Behind, a tiered stone ghat is lined with seated devotees and brass lamps, and a stairway with a metal railing rises at left. The scene appears to be a lingam abhishekam decoration ceremony outdoors.2016-12-15December 07 20162016-12-07A large black Shiva lingam stands on a raised stone platform, draped in bands of marigold and mixed flower garlands in orange, yellow, white, purple, and green, with festoon swags along its base. Silver bands are fixed to the lingam's front. Behind it, a metal staircase leads up to a railed platform where three men stand; the central figure, in a red-and-gold headdress and red garlands, holds his hands together in greeting, while two shaved-headed men in orange cloth stand beside him. Potted plants climb a brick stepped wall in the background.2013-12-27February 27 20142014-02-27
