Close-up photograph of white cotton thread loops laid out in rows on a striped textile with purple, red, orange, yellow and green bands. The loops are looped and knotted, scattered across the cloth. A blurred white-clothed arm or sleeve appears at the left edge and another blurred white figure at the right edge, both out of focus. No faces are visible, and no one is clearly identifiable as a specific person. The scene suggests a ritual preparation of sacred threads.2016-12-05December 05 20162016-12-05December 05 20162016-12-05 +1 copiesJune 04 20182018-06-04December 31 20152015-12-31December 02 20162016-12-02Overhead photo of a ritual scene. A large bundle of loose white cotton threads or yarn lies on a brass plate, with orange-red coloured tips visible on some strands. Beside it is a silver plate with a scalloped rim on an orange and striped cloth. At the top and right, hands in white clothing with red-and-white borders are visible, one hand holding a white-painted gesture. A small green grass-like sprig sits at the right edge. No deity or a person figure is clearly visible.2010-12-16A heap of white cotton sacred threads and brown rudraksha beads sits on a folded purple cloth with gold border, placed on a green floor mat. Small round pendant medallions with printed portrait images are tied among the threads and beads. No people are visible; the arrangement looks like ritual thread bundles prepared for devotees.2017-03-11May 02 20172017-05-02A photograph of close-up hands of a man in a red-and-orange shawl printed with script, holding a round stainless steel tray heaped with white cotton threads and small dark rudraksha beads. He wears a silver bangle, a black cord bracelet and a gold bangle on his wrists. The threads appear to be prepared for tying, a ritual ribbon for the silent meditation session. Background is blurred and shows white-clothed people.2016-02-20 +2 copiesFebruary 15 20172017-02-15A dark wooden tray holds many coiled loops of white cotton thread, tied at intervals, arranged in rows on a red cloth. A woven bamboo basket of similar white thread loops sits at the upper left corner. The setting suggests a ritual preparation, with the sacred threads laid out ready for use. No people are visible in the frame.2017-04-03
