A man seated on an ornate gold-and-red throne wears an orange-red garment, a rudraksha mala and yellow-white garlands, holding a microphone and gesturing as he speaks. Standing nearby are a bare-chested man in white dhoti with a white sacred thread, and a man in white dhoti and shawl with hands folded. Around a golden puja table with kalasha, brass vessels, a decorated pot and a flower-garlanded plate sit many devotees, mostly bare-chested or in white, wearing yellow marigold garlands, seen from behind and in profile. A deity murti in yellow and gold robes stands on a pedestal at left. Several sit cross-legged on mats, some in orange cloth.2016-10-26Ceremonial scene in a hall during a ritual. A seated figure on a gold-and-red throne (peetha) with a large gold canopy and ornate umbrellas behind, wearing a red-and-saffron turban and saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha-style necklace; the figure's appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity. Standing priests in white dhotis with red and gold borders and bare upper bodies, some wearing garlands, attend a fire pit (homa) with visible flames and brass vessels with offerings. A decorated deity murti and floral garlands sit on a colourful tiered altar at left, with gold ceremonial staffs and tall brass lamps nearby. Devotees in white sit on the floor at right and in the foreground.2015-10-19Night-time outdoor ritual at a temple-style pavilion with a fire burning on a stone platform before a decorated deity murti garlanded with marigolds and red flowers. Priests in white dhotis and bare-shouldered attire perform the fire rite, and a kalasha and brass lamps stand nearby. A seated figure in a red-and-saffron turban and red-orange shawl sits on an ornate gold-framed throne beneath a yellow-and-red canopy; he may be a person by appearance, so a person is set to unsure. Devotees in white and pastel clothing sit on the red-carpeted ground in a large crowd, and photographers stand at the edges. A yellow-and-red festoon hangs above the pavilion.2016-12-07Night outdoor ritual before a decorated shrine with a deity murti adorned with flower garlands and a yellow canopy above. A homa fire burns on a low fire pit in front, with priests in white dhotis and bare upper bodies offering to it. A seated figure in a red-and-orange turban and saffron-red shawl sits on a gold-framed throne at right, with a ceremonial standard beside him. Dense crowds of seated devotees in white and pastel clothes fill the foreground, and a cameraperson stands near the shrine. Garlands hang along the pillars and a canopy of tassels frames the scene.2016-12-07December 07 20162016-12-07December 07 20162016-12-07
