A smiling man with a shaved head and a red-brown ochre dhoti and shawl walks barefoot, wearing layered gold and white flower garlands and a gold waist belt with a gold pendant. Behind him, young men in saffron-orange robes carry a brass kalasha with a green leaf and white flower garland, and others play drums with white drumheads. Yellow brick paving bears coconuts and offerings, and white crowd barriers line the path.2017-09-27January 09 20182018-01-09January 01 20182018-01-01Outdoor temple procession under a canopy at Adhi Kailasa during Navaratri. A bearded man in a rust-red dhoti and shawl, wearing layered gold necklaces, a gold waist belt, bangles and a long red-and-white flower garland, walks forward smiling with a red tilak on his forehead. Behind him, saffron-robed attendants and devotees follow; a man in a white-framed glasses and bare chest holds a microphone and sings, a young attendant at left presses his palms together in anjali, and a figure at right carries a yellow-cloth-covered tray. A long staff is held overhead at the upper right. Six people are visible, most partially cropped by the frame.2017-09-27
