A man seated on a red velvet throne in front of an ornate gold repoussé backdrop with shell-like scallop motifs. He wears a dark maroon-red cloth, a long multi-strand garland of pink and white flowers and green leaves, a second garland of yellow lemons, a heavy gold chain, and a rudraksha bracelet on his wrist and a rudraksha mala on his shoulder. He has a red tilak mark on his forehead and a thin gold jewelled necklace. Two partially visible people in the foreground, one at left and one at lower centre, are seated and their heads are turned away from the camera.
