Served foods include rice, vegetables, sweets and cubes of white cheese, with paper cups of drink placed along the leaves. Most men wear white dhotis and shirts with red or orange shawls draped over one shoulder; one older man in thin-rimmed glasses and a white shirt holds a piece of food near his mouth. A man in orange-and-saffron robes stands in the background, and an orange-robed figure appears at the top edge. The setting suggests a temple annadan-style meal, with ash-coloured and orange clothing visible among the group.2014-09-15A large group of men seated on the floor in a hall performs a puja with brass plates of flowers, small oil lamps and offerings in front of them. Most wear white dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies, with rudraksha malas around their necks and white sacred ash marks on their skin. Several wear saffron-orange cloth draped over their shoulders or sit in the background among orange-clad participants. Some hold small ritual items and offer them with their hands. In the foreground a bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala and a woman with a hair bun sit in front of decorated brass trays. Pillars and wooden doors line the back of the room. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable from appearance.2017-07-27Several seated men in white dhotis with gold-edged borders sit on colourful striped mats on a pale tiled floor, bare-chested with white ash marks on their shoulders and arms. The man in the foreground has long dreadlocks, a black headband and beaded necklaces, and holds a small object while his hand rests over a brass tray. In the foreground a young man with shoulder-length light brown hair, wearing a white kurta and a thin dark pendant necklace and wooden bead bracelet, picks rice and vegetable dishes from his tray. Behind him two men in white kurtas and red sashes eat from their own trays, and another man in white sits at the right edge. The setting suggests an annadan-style communal meal in an ashram hall.2014-09-13January 14 20182018-01-14January 13 20172017-01-13September 10 20122012-09-10January 11 20172017-01-11A row of men seated on the floor during a puja in a temple hall, many bare-chested with white sacred ash and horizontal markings on their chests and arms.
