Around him, many people in saffron-orange robes stand with hands folded in anjali. Several white-clad men stand at left, and a child in orange sits near the seat. Colourful kolam or rangoli designs and written chalk-like inscriptions decorate the earthen floor, with a brass lamp stand and kalasha-style vessels nearby. Banners with red and white emblems hang at the sides. The scene suggests a welcome or darshan ritual.2018-01-14Outdoor ceremony under a open-sided canopy hung with red and orange lanterns, fabric streamers and ornate umbrellas. A central figure sits on an ornate silver throne with a red and gold cushion, wearing a deep red-brown robe, a gold necklace, layered beaded malas and a fresh garland, and a red-and-gold turban. A large multicoloured canopy with fringe stands above him, with two smaller canopies with red and yellow designs on either side. Around him, several people in saffron-orange robes stand or kneel; a woman in orange with a long braid holds a ceremonial item. A decorated kolam floor design with pink and yellow patterns lies in front, and a tall silver lamp stands beside the throne. Trees and a red structure are visible beyond the pavilion.2018-01-14Outdoor ritual at an ashram courtyard under a red-painted pavilion frame. A bare-chested priest in an orange dhoti stands at center raising a brass lamp or kalasha-like vessel overhead, while rows of seated devotees in orange and maroon robes with rudraksha malas listen. A woman in white sits near a low orange table holding offerings, and a white feather fan lies on the floor. On the right, a figure in maroon robes with a mala sits on an ornate orange throne-like chair; this appearance is not clearly confirmed as a person, so the figure is described only by role as a seated figure on a throne. Banana leaves, flowers and a brass pot sit on the platform, with red-and-white decorative poles at the sides.2014-10-02
