A bearded man in a saffron-orange robe, wearing a maroon turban and a white flower garland, sits on an ornate silver throne with red cushions under a flower-covered canopy. Beside the chariot a bare-chested priest in an orange cloth works near the wheel, and a crowd is visible in the background. Overlay text reads Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam2016-12-14A photograph of an evening procession on a flower-decorated palanquin. A bearded man with long dark hair sits reclined on a silver-embossed couch under a canopy draped in white, yellow and magenta garlands, wearing an orange-saffron garment, a flower garland and a large gold crown-like headpiece. To the left, a bald attendant in orange holds a long ceremonial staff, and beside him stands a man in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala. On the right, a bearded man in cream dhoti and gold-bordered shawl with a rudraksha mala holds a small vessel, and another attendant stands near the edge. The palanquin base is banked with lotus flowers and purple and yellow blooms, and camera equipment is visible around the frame.2016-12-23A decorated ratha procession vehicle at night, draped with garlands of white jasmine, orange and yellow marigolds, and purple flowers, with string lights glowing along its frame. A seated man in a rust-brown robe and a matching reddish-brown turban sits on a red-cushioned ornate throne, smiling, with a long yellow-and-purple garland draped over his shoulder. Two bare-chested men in orange dhotis stand at the chariot's edges, one pulling a rope at the left and the other at right near the throne. A deity murti is not clearly visible. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears a rust-brown robe and ornate turban, sits enthroned on the chariot, and is garlanded, consistent with a ratha procession honouring him.2016-12-14Night procession of a flower-decorated palanquin carried by attendants in white dhotis and orange shawls. Under a canopy of white jasmine garlands, red and yellow marigold strings and a green leafy top, a seated figure in orange and saffron robes wears a crown and red floral garlands and holds up a hand in blessing. Attendants flank the palanquin wearing rudraksha malas and gold-bordered white cloth; one holds a fan-like object. Lit blue and green string lights line the roadway behind, with onlookers at the edges and a pink-and-green floral base below.2016-12-23December 23 20162016-12-23
