A large black lingam with a silver three-band tripundra and a garland of red, yellow, white and purple flowers stands on a black yoni-pitha base against a white sky and a red brick building. On a metal staircase and platform to the left, several saffron-robed men stand; the one at the top wears a long saffron garment with a flower garland and holds his hands together in namaskar. Other saffron-robed figures stand below them and to the left. Below, in the background, rows of smaller black lingams line red brick steps with potted plants.2013-06-17A large black stone Shiva lingam with a silver three-horizontal-stripe (tripundra) marking and a flower garland of red, yellow, purple and white blossoms draped over its top. It sits on a black yoni-pitha base on a red-and-cream striped platform. Behind it, a red multi-storey building and tiered red steps lined with potted plants. On a raised metal scaffold platform at upper left, four men in saffron-orange robes stand with hands folded in namaste, one with a garland, appearing to be monastics or devotees. The scene is an outdoor temple setting in daylight.2013-06-17A large black stone Shiva lingam with a yoni-pitha base stands in shallow water, garlanded with a multicoloured flower necklace of red, white, yellow and purple blossoms. Several saffron-robed monks stand on a white metal scaffold walkway at the left, hands folded in prayer. Behind the lingam, rows of saffron-robed devotees sit on tiered red brick steps lined with small oil lamps, with more people in red garments further right. The water reflects the lingam, the scaffolding and the tree above. This appears to be an abhishekam-style setting around the lingam, with devotees seated in worship.2013-06-04 +1 copiesA large black Shiva lingam stands on a black yoni-pitha base, decorated with a garland of yellow, red, purple and white flowers arching over its top and three silver bands around its middle. Behind it, several men in orange and red dhoti-style clothing stand on a metal railed scaffold platform with stairs, some with hands joined in prayer and one holding an offering, and rows of smaller black lingams are arranged on tiered red brick steps where many people in orange sit facing the central lingam. Coloured pennants flank the scene and a purple emblem with a white bird appears at upper left. Some people are partly visible at the edges, so the count is best given as a range.2013-06-10 +1 copiesA large black stone Shivalinga stands in shallow water, its base reflected below, with a garland of marigolds in yellow, white, red and purple draped around the upper shaft. Behind them are tiered terracotta pots of green plants and a red building with garlands strung along its balconies. The scene suggests an abhishekam or puja at a Shiva lingam.2013-06-24 +1 copiesJune 04 20132013-06-04 +1 copiesJune 03 20132013-06-03
