In the centre, a shaved-headed priest wearing an orange-red garment with gold-yellow borders stands with his back to the camera, one arm raised high and holding a bundle of green leaves as he sprinkles water or offerings over the seated devotees. Several other priests in white dhotis with yellow borders, some holding small books, stand among the crowd. Behind them hangs a large framed portrait of a seated figure in red robes with a rudraksha mala, and framed photographs decorate the wall at upper right. The scene appears to be a ritual blessing during a gathering.2015-11-24A large indoor gathering of many men in white dhotis and white shirts, seated closely on the floor in a hall with cream walls. In the centre, a bald man in an orange-saffron robe with a gold-coloured shawl stands and holds a small metal vessel or bell in one hand, while another man in a white dhoti with gold border walks to the left. On the upper right, a large framed portrait shows a figure in red-orange robes and beaded necklaces, labelled with a printed caption. The scene looks like a crowded ritual or satsang gathering, with many participants raising hands. Some people wear garlands and lanyards.2015-11-24A photograph of a seated congregation of men at a ritual gathering in a plain white-walled hall. Most attendees wear white dhotis and shirts with rudraksha malas and sandalwood or ash markings. In the centre, a bald man in an orange-red dhoti and shawl with rudraksha beads stands holding a small brass-coloured vessel. To the left, a man in a white dhoti with a yellow-trimmed orange cloth draped over his shoulder stands with a yellow bag. The seated men hold their hands together in devotion or look down at small books. A wooden door and a white wall form the background. No individual is identifiable as a person from appearance, so the figures are described by role only.2015-11-24November 24 20152015-11-24September 10 20172017-09-10 +1 copiesIndoor photo of a ritual scene in a bright hall with a small ornate shrine at the back. A person in a rust-red dhoti with gold border and a heavy gold necklace with a garland stands at the centre, holding a small vessel and offering it. Around them, many women in saris sit on the floor before banana leaf plates holding flowers, fruits and brass oil lamps, with hands raised in prayer. Several women wear saffron and orange clothing, and a bald man in orange stands near the shrine at right. The person offering appears to be a priest or devotee rather than a clearly identifiable individual.2014-06-29 +1 copiesPhotograph inside a bright temple hall with a white marble floor.
