In the centre, a man wrapped in a rust-red turban is draped with a long garland of white jasmine and orange and red marigolds and rose petals. Around him, shaven-headed men in saffron and orange robes, one with rudraksha beads and sandalwood-coloured forehead markings, hold and adjust the garland. Behind them, a crowd presses against a barrier, with some raising white paper sheets, and uniformed security staff stand nearby.2015-10-02November 08 20132013-11-08A seated man in orange-saffron robes sits on a patterned cloth scattered with pink flower petals. He wears a saffron turban with a red tilak and white ash marks on his forehead, a long garland of white jasmine and pink flowers, and heavy gold ceremonial necklaces including a large gold pendant. He wears gold rings and beaded bracelets, and his hand is raised to the side of his turban. Standing figures in orange cloth frame him on both sides. Another person's arm and watch are visible at the top left. The swami-style attire and ceremonial adornment suggest a ritual setting. Printed copyright text runs down the right edge.2013-02-22January 09 20182018-01-09Indoor photo in a marble-walled hall. A young man in a rust-red robe and white flower garland, wearing a gold crown-band and a heavy gold necklace, walks forward smiling with hands folded at his chest. Beside him on the left, an elderly bald priest with white vibhuti marks and a rudraksha headband sits on a gold-trimmed red seat with a gold lion-carved armrest, also garlanded. Behind them, men in saffron and orange robes and onlookers stand near a metal rail, one man in a blue-and-white jersey holding a camera. Petals are scattered on the floor.2012-04-29June 30 20152015-06-30 +3 copies
