Aerial view of a riverside ghat at a temple town, with stone steps descending to calm water. Many small wooden boats with green and teal canopies are moored along the banks, and one brightly painted boat with a pink canopy floats in the foreground. Vendors' stalls with colourful tarpaulins in green, yellow and orange line the steps and hillside. Several people walk or stand on the steps, and a white-domed shrine sits on the hill at upper left beside multi-storey buildings in peach and yellow. The scene resembles a sacred river bathing place.2016-06-03June 04 20162016-06-04Aerial photograph of the riverside ghats at Omkareshwar on a river with a steep rocky cliff. Rows of colourful covered wooden boats with teal, green and yellow canopies are moored at the water's edge. Stone steps lead up to a white domed shrine and a temple complex, with red-walled buildings, tents and striped canopies lining the bank. A few small figures walk along the steps and ghat paths. The scene is a pilgrimage site with boat rides and shops.2016-06-03Photo 11703772June 02 20162016-06-02A red motorised boat with a blue canopy carries roughly a dozen seated passengers across a wide, greyish-green river. A pilot sits at the stern near the outboard motor. On the far bank, stone ghat steps lead up to buildings, with a green-roofed structure and a small white kiosk visible. The scene is a daytime river crossing with no ritual activity shown.2014-01-19June 03 20162016-06-03June 03 20162016-06-03June 02 20162016-06-02January 06 20062006-01-06January 06 20062006-01-06January 05 20062006-01-05
