A figure in orange robes stands at the shrine offering a ritual, with a white-clad attendant beside. Two people in white dhoti and kurta walk near a long pole carried under the canopy. A person in a leopard-print top stands in the foreground, and a figure in pink-white clothing appears at the right edge. Bright light flares from the upper right.2010-11-19Devotees stand in a line outside a shrine under a corrugated metal roof, hands folded in prayer and facing a red-curtained shrine hung with marigold garlands. In front, a bald monk in a salmon-pink shawl stands with his back to the camera, while a bearded man in a brown robe and a man in a white shirt with an orange bag stand beside him. To the right, saffron-clad sannyasis and a man in white with a red-and-orange turban join in worship. Whitewashed walls, orange cloth hangings and framed pictures line the background, and a palm tree shows beyond the roof.2009-12-30Night photo of a small roadside shrine with an illuminated deity murti decorated with yellow and green garlands, set in an open cabinet-style niche. A purple cloth covers part of the altar, with brass items and a red-orange cloth on a low wooden stand in front. Several people stand close around it: a man in white kurta at the centre, a figure in an orange top at right with flower garlands, and others in dark clothing in the foreground, some partly cut off at the edges. A patterned wall and tiled roof frame the scene.2014-06-27Evening photo of a temple courtyard with orange-washed walls and a carved stone pillar on the left. A man with long dark hair wears a leopard-print shawl over a yellow-green dhoti and garlands, walking barefoot past an orange flag on a red pole. A bald man in an orange dhoti and rudraksha mala carries a silver tray, and a priest in white robes with a brass plate stands in the background near a small shrine. Two women in orange saris stand with hands folded at right.2010-12-20May 29 20122012-05-29 +1 copiesApril 22 20162016-04-22Night-time outdoor photo of a ritual opening a tall wooden pole or flag-post set on a white-covered table. A figure in a red garment and white garland stretches one arm up to the pole, while another figure in saffron-orange robes holds the pole from the other side. Nearby, a silver vessel and small brass dishes sit on the table, with green potted plants and a yellow-and-green signboard at the base. Other people in white and yellow clothing stand in the background, and bright green lights mark the edges of the scene.2009-07-12December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04
