A nighttime photograph of a procession along a tree-lined path decorated with colourful string lights in green, blue, red and purple. Several people in white traditional dress walk together, including women in white sarees with coloured borders and men in white dhotis and shirts. Two saffron-coloured flags on poles are visible in the crowd. A young child in white stands in the foreground facing away from the camera. The procession appears to be moving through an ashram-style outdoor setting.2016-03-06January 29 20102010-01-29March 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesJanuary 29 20102010-01-29January 13 20152015-01-13A nighttime procession on a dirt courtyard lit by strings of small lights overhead. A boy in white holds a long pole supporting a large ornate umbrella (chatra) with a red, orange and blue canopy, gold embroidery, a white bird emblem and fringed tassels. Around him several people dressed in white kurtas and dhotis walk together, some in white garments with orange shawls, while a small figure in white stands at the front. Single-storey buildings with lights stand behind the group under dark trees. The scene suggests a ceremonial procession with a parasol carried in honour of a central figure, though that figure is not clearly identifiable here.2007-10-12Night photograph of a festively lit pathway at an ashram-style grounds. Strings of multicoloured fairy lights, mostly green, blue and red, wrap trees and cover stalls along both sides. Crowds of people in white and pale clothing walk and stand on a paved path, with a few in green and yellow saris. A bright lamp glows near the centre, and red canopies line the right. Visible people number roughly two dozen, many partly hidden by umbrellas and the foreground figures.2016-12-07February 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copiesNight procession at an illuminated outdoor temple-style venue strung with coloured fairy lights.
