Night rudrabhishekam scene on tiered red steps lined with many black stone shivalingams on square bases, with small brass vessels and lamps between them. Devotees sit and kneel at the lingams: a bare-chested man in white dhoti at left, a woman in a green top, a woman in a patterned top and beaded garland, a child in a brown shirt, and a bearded man with bare chest and white dhoti at the upper right. A man in a white dhoti with a sacred thread and bare upper body, pouring or tending at a lingam, sits centre; women in white and patterned clothes with a small child sit at the right. Strings of lights and green foliage behind a fence, with red flags.

Many participants sit cross-legged in rows, most in white, cream or colourful saris and kurtas, and several bare-chested men wear rudraksha malas. Black stone shivalinga stand on the steps before them, with brass vessels and lamps placed beside them, indicating a Shiva abhishekam-style ritual. A bald elderly man in white clothing with a mala sits in the lower right foreground, eyes closed and hands folded. A woman in a yellow-green saree and another in red sit with hands pressed together in devotion.2016-12-06December 18 20162016-12-18Night photo of a crowded outdoor deepam ceremony with rows of small black stone shivalingams on red-brown tiered steps, each set with brass lamps, bowls and flower offerings.
