The central figure wears a golden crown-like headdress with a cobra hood behind it and a purple and gold garment. Flanking figures in purple and green stand on either side, one holding a hand raised in blessing. Golden lion-shaped stands hold smaller seated figures and a small green-robed figure at right. Brass oil lamps stand on the left and right, with ornate gold-framed niches. No living people are visible in the scene; the figures are statues.2016-12-17December 17 20162016-12-17July 20 20102010-07-20September 22 20142014-09-22September 28 20142014-09-28A seated figure on an ornate golden throne is decorated with thick garlands of yellow marigolds and red flowers draped over the shoulders and arms. The figure wears an orange and maroon turban topped with a green leafy crown, a white garment, a multi-strand gold necklace of beads, a jewelled diamond-studded headpiece, and a gold waist ornament. The face is covered by the turban and garments, so no features are visible. A large white cloth lies in the foreground. Behind the throne are gilded panels and sculpted golden details. The setting suggests a ceremonial procession or darshan, with the seated figure presented as a deity murti or honoured person in jewelled regalia, though whether this is a living person or a statue cannot be determined.2008-10-04March 16 20202020-03-16 +2 copiesDecember 17 20162016-12-17December 17 20162016-12-17Close view of a golden deity murti seated on a red satin cloth, its face covered by a folded red, orange and green silk cloth with a jewelled white-and-gold band and a diamond-like pendant. Garlands of yellow and red roses and dark rudraksha malas drape over the head and shoulders, with green leaves between the flowers. Golden hands and ornate golden throne or seat details fill the background, with green gemstone crown ornaments above.2013-10-22
