The figure wears a purple silk dhoti-style garment with gold zari borders, a heavy silver-and-gem necklace with a red central medallion, and has its right hand raised in abhaya mudra. Layered garlands of yellow marigolds, red roses and white jasmine drape the figure, and brass oil lamps with lit flames stand on either side. Behind it, a large decorated structure is wrapped in flower garlands and bands of red, orange, blue and gold embellishment. This appears to be a deity murti or utsava image used in a procession, not a living person.2016-12-06A golden statue of a standing figure, not a living person, in a temple-like setting with carved stone pillars and an ornate gilded frame. The statue wears a maroon turban adorned with a jewelled ornament and crescent-shaped motif, a heavy red and gold necklace, and a white and red flower garland. Its right hand is raised in a blessing gesture and its left hand is lowered, with gold bangles on the wrists. The lower body is draped in a maroon cloth with gold borders, and a red-and-gold sash hangs from the waist with flower decoration. Glass panels and greenery are visible at the left edge, and red drapery hangs at the right.2014-08-11A photograph of a decorated statue standing in a temple niche, lit by oil lamps. The statue wears an ornate jeweled crown, layered gold necklaces and a yellow garment with a maroon sash, and holds a golden staff in one hand while the other hand is raised in blessing. Garlands of yellow marigolds and multicoloured flowers drape its shoulders and fall around it. Terracotta oil lamps burn on a purple cloth at its base, a tall brass lamp stands to the left, and a woven basket of lamps sits on a shelf to the right. No living people are visible.2017-12-02May 25 20182018-05-25Photo 11693945A bronze statue of a standing male figure in a gilded arched shrine niche with ornate golden repoussé frame and green gold-patterned curtain behind. The statue wears a purple turban with a red tilak, purple draped garment with lavender trim, a beaded red-and-gold necklace with a large red stone pendant, and earrings, with the right hand raised in abhaya-style blessing gesture on a pedestal draped in brown satin. It is a statue, so no physical people are present; the page's claim of a person is not supported by a clearly identifiable appearance of a living person, so the figure is treated as a statue depiction.2011-08-29 +1 copiesAugust 23 20122012-08-23
