Many people, mostly women and girls in saffron, orange, pink and green saris and salwar, sit on the steps holding long brass or wooden implements, performing a ritual abhishekam-style puja. A white-clad older man sits near the centre front, and a girl in a blue sari stands at the upper right. A red-and-white flag and a fence are behind, with green foliage at left.2016-12-23December 14 20162016-12-14Two women in saffron-orange saris sit in front of tiered red stone steps lined with small stone lingam-style pillars. Each sits beside a black stone shivalingam marked with white and red tilak. The woman on the left wears a white forehead mark with red dot and holds a small brass bell; the woman on the right wears a rudraksha mala, a white forehead band and a red-trimmed orange sari. Brass kalasha pots and vessels rest on the steps.2013-06-08A row of young women in matching saffron-orange saris with red and yellow borders sit cross-legged along red-painted steps, holding small brass vessels and bells during a ritual. Each has a white tilak on the forehead and some wear rudraksha beads. Before them stand rows of black polished shivalingams with pale stone bases, many topped with small offerings, as part of a Rudrabhishekam-style worship at the temple. A boy in red clothes sits at the far right beside another lingam and a brass pot. The scene is outdoors in warm, soft light.2013-06-08December 15 20162016-12-15Several women in orange-and-yellow saris sit on red stepped tiers beside rows of black stone shivalingams on pedestals, performing abhishekam. Each woman holds a long cone-shaped funnel with a bronze vessel nearby, pouring liquid over the lingams. Some wear white tilak on their foreheads and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces; one woman wears glasses. The steps are lined with many smaller lingams and a metal railing runs behind them. The image is a photograph of devotees in an outdoor temple setting, with no readable name or a person appearance visible.2013-06-04Devotees sit on red-brick temple steps beside rows of black stone Shivalinga pillars with gold-painted bases and brass vessels. In the foreground a woman in an orange top and pink shawl kneels with palms open, and a woman in a green kurta and white trousers sits with hands joined in prayer. Nearby a woman in a red-and-black saree with gold jewellery presses her hands together, and a bare-chested man with a shaved head sits at the lower right. Several others in white and blue clothing, some wearing rudraksha malas, are seated across the steps in a ritual setting.2016-12-03
