The murti wears a pink and white flower garland, a gold sari with a red-bordered hem, and holds a small cup in one hand. The liquid splashes in the air, marking abhishekam ritual bathing. The priest has a shaved head, rudraksha mala on his neck and wrist, and a sacred thread. A black stone structure and blurred onlookers appear behind. He is not identifiable as a person from appearance cues here.2016-11-11 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19A bronze statue of a small figure, garlanded with white jasmine and red flowers, receives an abhishekam as water is poured over it from a brass pot. Three men stand at the scene: one bald man in an orange-and-gold wrap pours from a brass vessel, a young man with long curly hair wears a dark rudraksha mala, orange-and-gold cloth and bangles and holds a small brass pot, and a bald man in white dhoti and a rust-orange rudraksha mala stands at the right, pouring from a smaller pot. Brass containers sit below, with a steel staircase and seated devotees in the background against a red-brown stepped structure.2016-12-05December 14 20162016-12-14
