The figure wears a magenta turban, a purple dhoti with gold border, a gold necklace, and garlands of white and pink flowers. The murti wears a red-orange cloth, a white beaded necklace, and a heavy garland of pink flowers draped over its shoulders and across the throne. Behind it stand additional garlands of red, white, and yellow flowers, and a tall gold lamp stand with a bowl-like top is at the right edge. Gold shoulder ornaments and a gilt decorative panel appear at the left and right of the throne. The setting suggests a temple-style decorated shrine or ritual display.2016-12-16December 16 20162016-12-16November 14 20102010-11-14Photo 11728760 +2 copiesJune 03 20152015-06-03December 12 20162016-12-12A small bronze-toned statue of a standing male figure in a green and gold turban and green draped cloth, wearing a long white and dark-stone garland, stands on a pedestal in front of an ornate gold throne with lion figures. Golden lion statues flank the throne in the foreground. Behind, a figure is adorned with gold necklaces, pearl and jewel ornaments, and yellow and red flower garlands, with a gold umbrella-like canopy. The statue is a depiction, not a living person, so no physical people are visible.2017-01-08December 10 20162016-12-10
