December 12 20162016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12Night outdoor gathering of devotees at an ashram event, photographed with a flash-lit crowd and floodlights in the background. A young boy in front, bare-chested with an orange cloth around his waist and a tilak on his forehead, looks down. Behind him women and men wear saffron-orange and white clothes, many with rudraksha malas. A woman on the right in a pink and orange sari with a red-and-gold blouse holds up a handful of flower garlands, offering them to others. Several people in white and orange attire crowd close together, and a man in the upper left wears a white shirt. The atmosphere suggests a devotional satsang or darshan procession with garlands being exchanged.2017-08-07December 12 20162016-12-12March 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copiesDecember 20 20152015-12-20April 08 20132013-04-08December 12 20162016-12-12A large group of women and girls sits on the floor in a hall during a seated ritual, many holding small lit oil lamps (diyas) in their hands. Most wear saffron-orange sarees or dhotis with red or cream borders, rudraksha malas and white forehead markings. In the foreground a woman in a red patterned saree and a white-clad woman hold lamps over a brass thali with flowers and offerings. Several men in white shirts sit in the background, and a plastic water bottle and brass vessels rest on the floor. The scene reads as a group puja or aarti with oil lamps, with no Swamiji figure clearly identifiable.2013-03-16October 20 20102010-10-20A nighttime photo of a crowd gathered outdoors for a ritual. In the centre, a woman in a red-orange sari holds up a lit oil lamp, its flame bright, while a man in white clothes with an orange shawl stands in front of her, hands raised in front of him. Around them, women in white saris and men in white or pale shirts press in with folded hands, and children stand among them.2006-10-23
