The hand offering holds a mound of white powder. A woman in a white and gold bordered sari with rudraksha beads is visible at the left edge. Behind them, a man in red and a man with folded hands stand near silver twisted pillars. The scene suggests a ritual offering of prasadam at a temple setting.2018-02-13Close-up photo of a person's hands and lap in orange-saffron robes with a white flower garland draped over the shoulder. The right hand rests flat on a clear plastic sheet lying on a polished brass bowl with perforated, pierced floral cut-out designs and a flared base. The setting is a plain room with a pink wall and a wooden door frame. No face is visible, so no individual can be identified.2010-01-19May 20 20122012-05-20December 12 20162016-12-12Close-up photo of a person in a rust-orange robe seated on a red and gold embroidered cloth. A bare hand with a red thread wrist band lifts the lid of a brass vessel holding a dark grey stone lingam wrapped in pink and orange fabric. The brass lid rests in the foreground. No faces are visible; the image is focused on the ritual object and hands.2014-03-18Close photograph of a ritual in progress: a hand dusted with white powder reaches into a large silver-toned ornate box filled with the same white powder, possibly sacred ash or flour. Beside it, a person in an orange-red garment and a wrist with a red sacred thread are visible, with a fruit and flower offering partly seen at left next to a silver deity figure decorated with a leopard-print cloth. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam-style offering, with warm pinkish-violet lighting. Only hands, arms and a partial torso are visible, so the number of people is limited.2018-02-13December 12 20162016-12-12A close photograph of a person seated on a colourful striped mat, holding a small thin copper or metallic plate inscribed with rows of script in one hand and a folded paper-like sheet in the other. Beside them sits an open rectangular brass tin containing a small round object, and a maroon cloth with orange-yellow piping lies across the lap. Behind, a blurred white-clad figure sits on a pink and blue cushion. The scene suggests a ritual or study moment, with a readable inscription on the metal plate.2017-02-27
