April 09 20142014-04-09November 22 20102010-11-22Photograph of a seated group of shaven-headed men in orange-red robes and white forehead markings performing a ritual indoors. The foreground man, bare-chested with an orange-and-gold shawl across his shoulder, holds a small brass oil lamp in one hand and a brass bell in the other. Rudraksha malas hang on several men behind him, and white ash stripes mark their arms and chests. Small brass oil lamps and offerings sit on a cloth at lower left, with a water bottle nearby. Warm pinkish walls and gold pillars frame the hall. No clearly identifiable throne or a person cues are visible in the foreground, so the central figure is a priest-like participant rather than a confirmed a person.2017-02-10December 12 20162016-12-12A seated man in white ritual dress with gold-bordered cloth, wearing a long orange rudraksha garland and a rudraksha mala, holds a small brass bell in his raised right hand while seated before a small brass lamp and flower offering on a blue mat. White horizontal tilak marks and a red bindi decorate his forehead and arms. Behind him, several seated men in orange and red robes with white forehead markings sit in rows, some holding offerings. The setting is an indoor hall with tiled floor and small brass vessels and plates in front.2014-04-09August 26 20172017-08-26 +1 copiesA large group of male devotees in white dhotis with gold-yellow borders sit cross-legged on white cloth-covered floor during a ritual. Many are bare-chested, wearing rudraksha malas, and have white sacred ash marks on their foreheads and arms. Brass plates, bowls and trays with flowers and offerings sit in front of them. In the foreground, a young man with a white tilak and red-thread necklace gazes forward, while a man in the centre holds a small brass vessel. No single central figure with distinctive a person cues is clearly visible, so the identity is uncertain.2018-04-28Photograph of a close, intimate moment in a satsang or initiation setting. A figure with hair in a bun and a horizontal white tilak wears an orange-red shawl, red rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and copper-coloured bangles, with bare shoulders and a red-and-gold cloth at the waist; the figure's hands rest on the shoulders of a bearded man in a white kurta with a red shawl, who kneels facing them. A gold ornate vessel stands in the lower left foreground. Behind them, several people in white and red clothing sit or stand in a room with a white wall and an air conditioning unit.2013-11-20January 21 20132013-01-21A photograph of a ceremony in a hall with a stage and a golden deity murti at the back. A man in a cream kurta with an orange shawl on the left reads from a sheet of paper. In the centre-right, a man in a rust-brown robe with a white flower garland, gold necklaces, tilak and long swept-back hair hands small packets from a red tray to a line of young boys in orange robes and white forehead markings. Several boys wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. Another person in white stands at the far right edge. Several people are visible, and the man in rust-brown has distinctive long hair, ornate gold necklaces and a flower garland, so the appearance is a probable Swamiji (probable) distributing items to the boys during a ritual line.2013-03-26December 18 20122012-12-18A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a belt, wearing a purple orchid garland, sits on a throne draped with a leopard-print cloth and a red velvet cushion, touching the forehead of a kneeling man in white clothes and an orange shawl. The throne stands beside a silver-framed ornate panel, and purple flowers and greenery surround the seat. A shaved-headed man in white, bare-footed, kneels on a white rug in the background, with decorated drapes and a pillar behind. This appears to be a pada-puja or blessing moment.2012-12-18
