A hand with a gold bangle holds a brass ladle-shaped lamp, tilting it toward the stand as if lighting or offering flame. No faces are visible, and no people beyond the hand are shown. Ritual deepa aarti is visible, with flames as the central focus.2011-11-27June 06 20142014-06-06December 12 20162016-12-12Close-up photo of a tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps on multiple circular tiers, held aloft by two hands wearing rudraksha bead bracelets, one with a red thread. The blurred golden background suggests a temple setting with a red cloth below. Only the hands and forearms of the person holding the lamp are visible.2014-06-06A tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps and wicks burns on a woven mat, with a conical heap of white material on its top tier. Behind it on the left stand several brass handheld bells with ornate handles, and at the right edge a person in a pale yellow garment holds a lit incense stick or taper toward the lamp. A band of orange cloth and a dark floor are visible at the top. The scene suggests an aarti lighting in a temple setting.2010-10-01
