January 11 20172017-01-11April 23 20162016-04-23A photograph of a ceremonial rite at an outdoor pavilion. A man with long dark hair and a short beard, wearing a rust-red wrap and a pink-and-white flower garland with gold ornaments, holds a pink flower bunch up beside a white cloth-wrapped pole. Behind him, a crowd of devotees in saffron and orange robes stands, some with orange head cloths. A man at the right in a brown wrap and beaded necklaces holds a silver tray with small vessels. A tassel-decorated canopy is visible above. Whether the central figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is described as a participant in the rite.2017-10-01December 23 20092009-12-23Photograph of a temple procession at a shrine with a deity murti decorated with a large floral garland in multicolour blooms and an ornate jewelled face. Several men in saffron-orange dhotis and bare-chested devotees carry the murti or its palanquin, with one man holding a flower garland and others lifting a bundle of offerings. A yellow and red canopy with a ceremonial parasol shades the shrine, and a bright yellow decorated palanquin with marigold garlands stands at the right. A man in a white dhoti and white shirt stands near the center, and a man in white ritual cloth stands at the left with folded hands. A woman in an orange sari stands at the right edge. Brass lamps and a metal stand sit at the far right, with a red-walled compound behind.2017-01-11January 11 20172017-01-11January 01 20132013-01-01January 1st 2013July 18 20162016-07-18Outdoor procession at a temple-like venue with flower petals falling.
