Several hold small oil lamps and brass lamps; a brass plate with lit diyas sits in the foreground at lower left, and a few participants hold small bells or ritual items. Some men have shaved heads, others have hair and beards. A wide view of the hall fills the background with more seated devotees, and a white-bearded older man sits at left.2017-05-28September 21 20112011-09-21Photograph of a seated puja in a plain hall with pale walls and a wooden door. A row of men sit cross-legged on the floor, many bare-chested with white dhotis and rudraksha malas, some in white and one with a white forehead mark, hands folded or resting on laps and eyes closed. In front of them stand brass plates, oil lamps, small brass vessels, flower offerings and a clear container on red and orange cloths. At the far right edge a man in an orange shawl sits in meditation near the back row, a figure who is not visibly identified as a person. Rituals appear to be a group puja.2017-05-24A long row of seated participants in white dhotis and unstitched white clothing with gold borders performs a puja during a satsang event. Brass thalis and small brass lamps holding flames sit on low tables along the floor, with a copper-coloured water bottle in the foreground. Several men bare-chested wear rudraksha malas and white tilak markings on their foreheads and arms, and raise incense sticks or small items toward the offerings. A man near the centre has his hair in a topknot and wears gold earrings. Lit oil lamps line the floor behind the row, and the hall is filled with more seated devotees. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from the visible cues.2017-05-25May 28 20172017-05-28January 22 20172017-01-22November 07 20112011-11-07January 04 20172017-01-04A photograph of a large hall where many men sit cross-legged on a white tiled floor performing a group ritual. Most wear white dhotis and are bare-chested with white sacred markings on their foreheads and bodies, and many wear rudraksha malas. Brass plates and bowls with flowers, fruit and oil lamps sit on small mats in front of them, and several people hold small items up to their faces. In the foreground a young man in a white dhoti with a lavender cloth and a rudraksha mala holds a brass object, beside a boy in orange robes. Other people sit in rows behind them, with chairs and red-clothed tables visible at the back of the room.2017-08-02October 11 20102010-10-11
