May 03 20122012-05-03Night procession scene at a decorated ratha. A deity murti is adorned with a crown, multicoloured garlands and flower strands, and orange cloth draped at its base; coconuts, fruits and brass vessels sit on the cart. A man in orange robes with long swept-back hair and a visible rudraksha mala smiles while standing at the cart's green pole, with saffron-coloured cloth at his shoulders. A man in white shirt holds a ceremonial fan and stands behind the cart, and other onlookers are partly visible. Swamiji (probable) appears in the orange-robed figure, identified by long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha cues.2005-12-22Photograph of a decorated palanquin at night during a procession, with a deity murti at the centre adorned with multicoloured garlands in pink, green, yellow and white, and a silver-crowned face and gold ornaments. A man in saffron/orange robes with long dark hair sits smiling at the lower right on the palanquin platform, wearing saffron cloth and bare arms. Beside him, a smiling man in white clothes with a shaved head sits at the lower left, and another man in white stands at the upper right holding a yellow cloth. Offerings of coconuts, bananas, a pineapple, apples, a brass vessel and an oil lamp lie on the platform. The palanquin is painted with elephant and peacock motifs. Under the swami-type description, the person in saffron has long swept-back hair and saffron clothing, a probable match for Swamiji (probable) seated on the palanquin.2005-12-22A night photograph of a festival procession. In the foreground, a man with long, dark, swept-back hair and a broad smile wears a saffron-orange robe, sitting beside a decorated palanquin. He is the appearance-based probable Swamiji: long swept-back hair and saffron/orange clothing are visible cues, and he is seated beside the palanquin in an honoured position. Behind him, a man in white shirt and trousers holds a tall green-and-red decorated pole. Behind the palanquin, a silver trident is held by a shaved-headed attendant in white. The palanquin is draped with multicoloured garlands, flower strings and rainbow-coloured fabric, and carries silver-coloured deity figures with a golden umbrella-like canopy and a round multicoloured fan. Water droplets or spray fill the dark background, and an elderly woman smiles at the right edge.2005-12-22November 19 20102010-11-19Night procession with a richly decorated palanquin covered by a multicoloured canopy of embroidered panels, gold-edged hangings and gold tassels. Inside, a white stone deity murti is adorned with a crown, floral garlands and a large yellow-and-green garland. In front, a figure in orange robes sits on the palanquin, and a man in white clothing stands at the pole holding a fan or lamp. Several onlookers in the foreground and dark trees surround the scene, with fairy-light bokeh above.2005-12-22December 29 20092009-12-29November 01 20112011-11-01December 29 20092009-12-29Night procession scene. A richly decorated palanquin or ratha carries two deity murtis draped in garlands of white, yellow, red and pink flowers, with a multicoloured canopy overhead and painted cloth panels on the poles. A smiling long-haired man in orange saffron robes and rudraksha-style adornments sits at the front of the palanquin holding a lamp, with a man in white clothes and glasses holding a pole at the right and grey-haired devotees in the lower foreground. Probable Swamiji is seated in the foreground, showing distinctive long swept-back hair and saffron clothing, though the appearance is not fully certain.2005-12-22Night procession photo of a decorated deity murti on a palanquin, adorned with a colourful garland of multicoloured flowers, gold necklaces and a crown-like headdress, with an orange cloth draped at its base. In the foreground, a long-haired man in an orange robe holds a lit flame and a bell toward the deity while kneeling. Behind him, a man in a white t-shirt steadies the palanquin's green pole. Devotees with folded hands and grey heads kneel at the bottom edge, and the dark night sky surrounds the scene. The orange-robed man matches a visible appearance-based candidate, so this is a person in-person presence performing aarti during the procession.2005-12-22October 06 20112011-10-06
