A close view of a polished golden brass Nandi head, with a silver-toned ceremonial cup or ladle resting on its face, in the foreground. A bare forearm with red and gold bangles reaches in from the right to touch the bull's horn. Behind it, a large blurred crowd of seated devotees fills the hall, including an older woman with grey hair and a woman in a pink top and purple skirt seen from behind. The background has a red and white structure and warm lighting.2016-12-07February 11 20172017-02-11May 02 20182018-05-02 +2 copiesClose view of a polished gold-toned metal Nandi bull statue with a wide flared snout and horns, its body draped in beaded chains and bells. A seated person in a reddish-brown robe, adorned with a pink and white flower garland, gold necklaces and rudraksha beads, rests one hand on the statue's snout while a black-and-orange striped cloth lies across the lap. Green foliage sits in the background. Only arm, hand and torso are visible, so no identity cue confirms a specific person.2017-01-29Close-up photograph of a dark green stone Nandi bull statue, its head and face carved in relief with a large eye, ear and muzzle. A hand in a white sleeve with a gold bangle touches the top of the bull's head, where a small reddish mark is placed. Blurred green foliage and a yellow garland appear in the background. The statue is a Nandi, the sacred bull of Shiva, and the hand is performing a pada-puja-style offering or blessing. No people's faces are visible.2010-01-24 +1 copiesClose view of a seated figure in a rust-brown saffron-toned robe, with a gold-and-white garland of pink and white flowers draped over the shoulder and a rudraksha bracelet on the upper arm and wrist. The bare hand rests on a large polished gold bull statue, the Nandi, whose horns, forehead ornament and beaded collar are visible. A tiger-stripe cloth is spread over the seat, and a gold staff with a decorated top leans beside the figure. Green leafy plants frame the background. The figure is a person seen only from the torso down, so no face is visible. Appearance cues of a long-haired ceremonial figure are not clearly established here, so the identity is uncertain.2017-02-11A close photograph of a large polished brass Nandi bull statue with curled horns and ornate beaded collar with hanging bells, draped with a rust-orange cloth over its head. Beside it, a seated person in a rust-brown robe with bare upper arm and an ornate gold necklace and garland of white and pink flowers rests a hand on the bull's ear. Potted green plants and an orange water bottle are at left, and a tiger-striped cushion sits beneath the seated figure. The seated person's face is not visible, so no identification is made from appearance.2017-01-15Close-up photo of a polished brass bull (Nandi) statue with a large curved horn and detailed bead-line border around the head. Behind it, a seated figure in orange robes adorned with long garlands of marigolds, white flowers and red blossoms. The figure's hand holds a small ritual object. Blue draped curtain backdrop.
