The lingam stands in a water tank with red-and-white striped walls and reflecting water. A metal scaffold stair rises beside it, with several figures in white and light clothing standing on the platform near the top. On the stone tiers at left, people in white sit in rows, and a few more are seated on the right. The sky is bright and white.2015-02-17A large black Shiva lingam stands on a tiered platform, dressed with a dense garland of yellow, orange, red, green and purple flowers and a band of white and red sandalwood-coloured paste across its face. Its base and the surrounding ledge are wrapped in striped marigold and flower garlands with beaded fringe. On the left, a metal staircase leads up beside the lingam, where several figures in orange and red clothing climb or stand, while a lower figure in orange sits at the right foot of the platform among brass vessels and bells. Brass pots and small lamps sit on the platform and red flags stand in the background, under a pale sky. The scene suggests a large abhishekam or decorated puja at a Shiva shrine.2017-02-26February 26 20172017-02-26February 27 20142014-02-27February 17 20152015-02-17February 27 20142014-02-27February 27 20142014-02-27February 26 20172017-02-26February 27 20142014-02-27
