April 08 20052005-04-08Night-time photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors in front of a red-walled building with a small lit doorway. In the centre, a bare-chested man in an orange dhoti with a red sash stands with his back to the camera, facing a line of devotees who wear white clothes. Many people in white or cream kurtas and saris stand in rows, some holding small cloth bags or packets, and several children are in the front. A woman on the left wears a white sari with an orange border and a beaded necklace. Nobody in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance alone, so the central figure is described by role only.2006-10-21February 11 20072007-02-11 +1 copiesFebruary 16 20092009-02-16October 21 20062006-10-21A street scene in a Tamil village, with a long-haired man in a rust-orange sannyasi wrap holding a brass plate of offerings toward the open window of a white car.
