Two people in orange saffron clothing stand at a metal-railed platform outdoors at dusk, working on a surface covered with cloth and debris. A woman in the foreground leans forward with her hands on the railing, wearing a gold bangle and an orange top, while a second person behind her in orange, with hair tied up, looks down at the work. A plastic bag and bundled cloth rest on the platform, with benches and greenery visible in the background.

A bare-chested man in an orange dhoti works inside a covered space, holding a long curved pole with a brush or roller to the pinkish brick wall while his shadow falls across the wall. Behind him hang an orange cloth and a colourful decorative hanging with elephant motifs; a metal tray sits on a shelf. The figure has long dark hair and a mala-like necklace, with no clearly visible face, so the identity remains uncertain. The scene shows a wall being painted or refurbished during preparations at Kailasa Tiruvannamalai.

A woman in white with a long braid holds a long-handled broom at right. The central figure wears a white head wrap, white kurta and white trousers, with a sash and blue shoes, carrying a broom and a bottle. The woman at right wears a white sari with a red blouse and a teal cap and mask, sweeping at the base of a yellow ochre colonnade with white-painted pillars. Dust and debris lie on the stone plinth and ground.

Interior photograph of a wooden-pillared corridor in a traditional palace, with dark polished floor, carved wooden ceiling panels and arched windows. A tall man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl walks in front, with long dark hair, bare feet and a bright orange tilak on his forehead; he is described as Swamiji (probable) on the basis of his saffron ornate clothing and long swept-back hair. Behind him a man in white with an orange shawl follows, and a camera operator in white with an orange shawl films. A woman in a white embroidered salwar kameez with sunglasses walks beside them, and a smiling woman in a red blouse and turquoise sari stands at right. A stone statue stands in an alcove at center-right.
