He wears an orange saffron cloth wrapped around his waist and draped over his bare chest, with a rudraksha mala of brown beads and a pendant necklace. White sacred ash marks show on his arms and chest. His hands are joined in mudra in front of a red velvet mat with gold border, on which sit brass puja items: a conch shell, a brass plate, small brass cups, a bell, a brass lamp, a small brass vessel with spoon, and a brass plate holding a crystal lingam.

On the left, a tray holds pearl necklaces, a pink cloth, gold-toned vessels and flowers, with an orange cloth over a tiger-striped surface. In front, a brass tray holds a lit oil lamp, a white conch shell, a copper vessel and red cloths. The boy has a red tilak on his forehead.

A young shaven-headed boy in white dhoti and a dark rudraksha mala stands bare-chested at a table covered with a red and gold brocade cloth, pouring liquid from a brass vessel over a brass oil lamp. Brass lamps, a candelabra, bowls, cups and plates holding flowers, fruit and burning incense sticks are arranged on the table, with stainless steel covered containers in front.
