July 13 20132013-07-13April 24 20192019-04-24A photograph in a large warehouse-style workshop with a corrugated metal roof and fluorescent lights. A bare-chested man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-red cloth and a rudraksha mala, stands at a red-draped platform, bending forward to offer a brass bowl of red petals beside brass deity murti and an oil lamp. Around him, several men in white dhotis with orange-red shawls and garlands stand with hands folded in namaskar, and one man on the right holds an orange-red shawl over his shoulder. Wooden and brass ritual furniture and bronze idols are scattered around the hall. The main figure looks like a person by his long swept hair, adornments and orange-red clothing, performing a puja-style offering to the deity murti.2014-08-06A photo taken inside a thatched, open-sided shed with a concrete floor and bamboo lattice walls, where a group of men in orange and yellow sannyasi-style robes stand among stone and clay sculptures and unfinished carved figures. In the centre, a man in orange robes and an orange turban, with rudraksha malas around his neck, faces a bare-backed man with long dark hair who is also wearing an orange cloth. Beside them a man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands with folded hands, and a bearded man in white and an orange shawl stands at the right. A younger man in white dhoti and a shawl stands at the left. Several sculptures and carved stone pieces lie on the ground at the bottom of the frame.2007-08-09A workshop interior where temple deity sculptures and woodwork are being made. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on a carved wooden bench with lion-footed legs, while two men in white dhotis and white shirts stand nearby, one holding a mobile phone. Around them are gilded and painted deity murti statues on wheeled wooden bases, a carved wooden chariot-like frame, a red wooden platform, brass ornaments, beaded garlands and boxed jewellery on the floor, and a wooden door and carvings in the foreground. Fluorescent lights hang from a metal-roofed ceiling.2014-08-06April 24 20192019-04-24August 06 20142014-08-06A photograph inside an open-sided workshop with a corrugated roof, woven lattice walls and unfinished concrete blocks. Several saffron-robed sannyasis wearing orange head cloths stand grouped in the foreground. The man at the front right has long dark hair, wears an orange robe and sandals, and gestures toward the floor. Beside him, a man in an orange robe with an orange head cloth and beaded necklace stands near a bearded sadhu. A white-shirted man stands to the right, and another stands at the back. The floor is strewn with carved wooden or copper-coloured temple panels, figures and architectural pieces, with a wooden easel and tools nearby. The setting appears to be a craft or sculpture workshop.2007-08-09August 09 20072007-08-09September 18 20062006-09-18April 24 20192019-04-24August 06 20142014-08-06
