April 24 20192019-04-24April 24 20192019-04-24A photograph of a large, partly open storage hall with yellow steel pillars and a corrugated roof, filled with stacked wooden planks, carved wooden panels, brass lamps and clay pots on metal shelving. In the centre foreground a woman in a red-and-cream sari and a woman in a white top with a yellow shawl walk along a dirt floor. A dense crowd of devotees, many in white dhotis and colourful saris, moves through the aisle toward the right. Some objects are draped in purple cloth. Plain wooden chairs stand near the shelves.2016-12-12April 24 20192019-04-24A photograph of a dim storage workshop with stacked wooden planks and panels on the left beside yellow steel posts, and gilded carved wooden panels and temple fittings leaning along a red brick wall on the right. A woman in a long reddish-brown robe with long dark hair walks down the centre aisle, with several people in mixed clothing following behind her and a wooden cabinet in the foreground. A gilded ornate temple-style pillar or shrine piece stands at the right edge.2017-03-26April 24 20192019-04-24August 24 20142014-08-24A crowded warehouse storage area with breeze-block walls, yellow steel posts and fluorescent tube lights overhead. Stacks of rough wooden planks, cardboard boxes and rolled mats fill the back, along with a red wooden cart with spoked wheels and a folded yellow umbrella at right. Many people in mixed clothing crowd the aisles: a man in a pink shirt at left, women in white kurtas with orange shawls, a woman in a multicoloured print dress, a woman in a colourful striped sari, and a young girl in white. Some wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. Gold-framed panels lean against the wall at left.2016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12A photograph inside a plain concrete hall with a corrugated roof, lined with wooden crates and shelves holding folded orange and red cloth. In the centre, a barefoot man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe and stands looking to the side, with a camera operator filming him from behind. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and white shirts with orange shawls stand along the wall beside a red draped curtain and a framed picture of a deity. Further back, another figure in white stands near orange drapes. The scene appears to be a storage or preparation area, with bundled white cloth and cardboard boxes on the left.2010-08-11December 30 20092009-12-30Interior of a workshop storing and crafting temple furnishings: a large carved wooden chariot-like structure with a horse head, a carved wooden palanquin or ratha frame, a golden ornate chair, a green wooden cart, and carved wooden beds and benches. A seated woman in a rust-red sari sits on a carved wooden bench at left. Four men stand in the centre and right: three in white dhoti and shirts, one in a saffron-and-brown robe with an orange shawl, and one in white with an ID lanyard at far right. Lamps hang from the ceiling and a red mat lies on the concrete floor. The image is a photograph; the saffron-robed man is not clearly identifiable from appearance, so he is described by role only.2014-08-06
