Two large multicoloured umbrellas with fringed edges, bearing the printed words "Dhyanapeetam" and blue dove emblems, are held above a group walking forward. In front, a uniformed police officer in khaki cap and shirt holds a walkie-talkie and leads the group. Behind him, a man in saffron robes with long dark hair, a white forehead mark, a large gold-coloured garland and rudraksha beads walks with raised hand, a distinctive presentation consistent with the Swamiji (probable) candidate. Around him, saffron-robed men and white-clad devotees wear yellow shawls and rudraksha malas, one carrying an orange cloth. Several more people follow in the background.2010-01-08A street procession in Tiruvannamalai with saffron-robed sannyasis walking barefoot on a paved road. In the centre, an older bare-chested man in a white dhoti with a green and yellow border wears a green bead necklace and sacred ash markings. At right, a uniformed police officer in khaki walks beside them. Several other orange-robed men and a figure in white follow behind. The swami-like figure at left shows distinctive long hair and gold ornaments, but his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance.2010-01-08Photo 11727312November 11 20062006-11-11A photograph taken under a white tent with red and white draped valances and garlands of marigolds on the tent poles.
