September 14 20152015-09-14Outdoor photo on a dirt ground beside trees showing a group of saffron-robed men in an informal ritual gathering. Centre, an elderly man with long white beard and flowing white hair wears an orange-saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, holding a wooden staff with a snake-like carved handle. To the right, a man with hair tied in a bun and bare-chested, wearing an orange-gold bordered cloth, gestures with raised index finger toward the elder. To the left, a bald man in orange-red robes with rudraksha beads touches his face. Behind them, men in orange robes and white dhotis carry tall ceremonial staffs with tridents and small saffron-and-gold pennants. A white cloth path runs across the ground. Appearance-based candidate: a person is not supported by the cues here, as the elder's central role is shown with a long beard and saffron robe rather than the distinctive crown or gold ornaments needed.2013-11-05January 08 20142014-01-08Outdoor photo on a concrete ground in front of a red-tiled building with lattice windows. Several people in red-maroon ochre robes with gold borders converse. A man in a dark red turban and a heavy gold pendant with multiple gold-bead necklaces speaks and gestures with his hand. Beside him a bald man in red robes wears a rudraksha mala and wrist beads. On the left an older bearded man with white hair wears an orange-saffron kurta and shawl. On the right a woman in red sari with gold border and gold bead necklace stands. Behind them more people in red and orange robes and garlands, and a parked car.2015-09-14January 13 20152015-01-13September 14 20152015-09-14January 08 20142014-01-08April 22 20162016-04-22Outdoor photo of a welcoming exchange among saffron-robed sannyasis. Center left, an elderly bearded man with long white hair and a red forehead mark wears an orange shawl over a garland of white and red flowers and holds a silver-capped staff with a carved snake. Facing him at right, a younger man with swept-back hair and a gold-bordered orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala and gold necklace, clasps his hands. Behind them, orange-clad devotees with rudraksha malas stand in a row, one holding a trident and another a yellow-and-red decorated banner, with a red wall and trees in the background.2013-11-05January 08 20142014-01-08 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20152015-09-11 +1 copiesSeptember 14 20152015-09-14
